Sorry for that last (now disappeared) post. Am a bit better now. Haven't had much sleep lately and it's getting me down. That and other things which I won't get into.

Spring is here, though. My plants, mostly, seem to be thriving. Daisies haven't come up, though. But my lavendar survived, and my brunera is blooming, and even a hosta that I was sure was not going to survive the trampling it got (kids invading) is up and looking quite healthy! My hucheras (coral bells, although I don't think I've got a blooming variety) are nice, big and pruple, and it looks like the scabiosa (horrible name for such a pretty plant!) is doing fine as well. Although, it also looks like there are two different types of plant, rather than one. *shrugs* I'll see when (or if) it blooms. Probably next year.

I don't think those are daisy leaves... Certainly shouldn't be!

Today is beautiful, much like yesterday was, so I'm going to go work a bit on the patio. Even if it has to remain dirt topped, I want to finish this patio!

I'm still bummed, though. I'm hoping a bit of hard labor will cheer me up.

I have never been bolstered by hard labor, in fact, I find the very prospect to be depressing. ;)

Hard labor is the best way to soothe a restless spirit. It's best if it bears fruit and gives one a sense of accomplishment.

Nothing like a bit of hard labor to give a bad mood a smackdown. Of course, if one is bummed already, sometimes it's hard to actually GET to that hard labor!

However sounds like you were successful. Hang in there!

Yeah, I always find that doing something sweaty for a while not only makes me feel better, I also tend so sleep soundly that evening. Ooh, wonderful growing things! We're in the midst of May Gray in San Diego, so for this month through the June Gloom, we must live vicariously through other people's weather. Ah well. Not whining too much :)
