Are they trying for Existential?
Jun. 10th, 2007 11:14 pmCause otherwise that's just creepy. Although there's definitely a dark!fic lurking in there somewhere.
Had a lovely weekend, btw. Got a nibble of a job offer on Saturday (need to research it, but it's a work from home, computer-based thing), then cloned myself while looking and feeling like a comic book heroine. Will post photos later when the clone is fully functional. Then today we went down to South Shore to help M&M remove their stinky carpet, after which they took us out for my birthday meal (Vietnamese and Japanese... excellent miso soup, and a very good lemongrass bass), a round of putt putt and some delicioso gelato (the latter two were done dutch). Then, to top it off, the male M wore out Babe with a bit of horseplay. Too bad I forgot to take the camera. :-(
So, t'was a good weekend. I also worked on some other stuff, but I'm not going to talk about that until I've finished it completely, which I hope to accomplish by my birthday. Happy birthday to me, you know.
Also of note, both Geoff and I have had dreams in the last couple of days about moving. In both dreams we were not moving to Indiana, or rather, we both thought it was Indiana we were moving to, but it wasn't. Both dreams also had us moving without solid details, but in what seemed to be more prosperous directions. (For me it was a nice, modest, cute house in a lovely established (but unknown) neighborhood, although I wasn't sure how we were going to afford it, as I didn't know whether Geoff's (new?) job would pay enough, whereas for Geoff we were moving into student family housing in Cambridge, and when Geoff was skeptical and cautious asking whether it was a 800 sq. ft. house, the guy we were dealing with said that no, it was a normal 4 bd., 2000 sq. ft. place.)
Don't know what that means, but I'm going to take it as a sign of good things to come. I can hope, anyway. I'm also hoping to get to Pirates III for my birthday. Who knows, maybe I'll even get my egg beater, too! That is a more reasonable hope, but a hope nonetheless.
Hope ya'll had lovely weekends as well, and that the coming week is satisfying if not great.
