Snape stole back his journal several months ago before I could transcribe all the entries, but it seems he was in a rush when he stole it back for I found a parchment scrap lying on the shelf, and, well, I don't used parchment. I don't even own any parchment, so it must have belonged to him. I was very confused about the note that was written on there, and almost threw it out as nonsense, but some little instinct stayed my hand.

Now that I see it's your birthday, I think I may understand the little note.

Lucky devil, you. I hope you aren't expecting him to conjure you flowers, though, as I think he has his limits. ;-)
