Well, thank you all for the lovely wishes and birthday messages. I had a lovely day. More accurately, I had a lovely mood the entire day, but it was a good day, anyway.

Even if I didn't finish my gift to myself.

I did, however, get the house tidied up for the babysitter, even after fielding a call from my sister (which was lovely), which meant coming home from seeing Pirates to a clean looking housed. And pressies. =)

My birthday started off with my

sshg_exchange present! If you haven't read it yet, go now! It's funny, it's sweet, it's romantic... it's perfect!

And then, have I mentioned that I have the coolest in-laws lately? They got me my egg beater! The also got me a Janet Evonovich book and a lovely book of porn.

"Porn for women" is... wonderful. It has pictures of quite good looking men doing what (probably) every woman fantasizes about. One of my favorite ones has the caption, "Damn, I always miss this spot!"

I highly recommend looking it up.

I also got a lovely tigers-eye bracelet from

zalena, as well as a box of begal spice (preciousssss) and "Ship Fever" by Andrea Barrett, which looks intriguiging.

Geoff took me out to the movie, and also got me some comfy clothes.

So, today I try to finish my gift to myself (though I'm not sure how to solve one of the problems that cropped up... Probably will have to redo a lot of yesterday's work) and... *shrug* I don't know. Think, I suppose. Do all that normal stuff, like paperwork and such. Hopefully it'll be coolish today like it has been the last couple of days so I can also make bread. We're almost out. Again.
