You scored as Boudicca. I am Boudicca. I am a strong and valiant Queen of the Iceni. I am proud. I hate injustice, and when the Romans ruin my people and take my lands, I rally my people and fight them.

Which Female Heroine Are You?

Not expecting that one. I will agree that I'm least like Joan d'Arc, though.

Last night I had a dream that might actually qualify as a nightmare, considering I woke up because of it. It was loosely based on last night's episode of Lost, though none of the characters were in it (but Alan Rickman was... very strange). It's been a quite a while since I've had a dream bad enough to wake me up. I've written it out as a story. Very different from I usually write. Needs a lot of work, but there might be something to it, if I can get the feeling into it.

Snape's Journal

Jan. 9, 1998

I hate my life. I hate birthdays. I hate Albus. And, for good measure, I really hate Potter.

This journal is more addictive than Dreamless Sleep Draught. I should have caught on faster! I should have realized it was spelled from the second I put pen to this infernal trap. As it is, I wonder if it will be possible to resist the call of the journal. It's worse than a siren's song. At least with that tune I know what's lying in wait, whereas here...

I will try to wean myself gradually. I don't want to let the impulse get as strong as it did today. Especially not around students. Again.

I suspected resisting this would be as painful as resisting Imperio (I hate that old codger! He's too powerful for his own good!), but I have never before experienced such outrageous side effects in any legal spell I've come across! All I can say is that I'm grateful I wear voluminous robes.

She's not even pretty!

I wonder what Albus had in mind when he cast the spell. I must find out whether Minerva had a hand in it, as well.

Nice cones. And that helmet is based on a "a href = http://images.google.com/imgres?imgurl=http://www.thebritishmuseum.ac.uk/compass/resources/image/medium/ps305314.jpg&imgrefurl=http://www.thebritishmuseum.ac.uk/compass/ixbin/goto%3Fid%3DOBJ1477&h=230&w=230&sz=6&tbnid=XSwLXUcnVHkJ:&tbnh=103&tbnw=103&hl=en&start=20&prev=/images%3Fq%3Dhorned%2Bhelmet%26svnum%3D10%26hl%3Den%26lr%3D%26sa%3DG"> real artifact. This is the only "viking style" horned helmet that has ever been discovered, and it isn't even from the Age of the Vikings. It is unlikely it was ever used in battle because as any smart warrior knows, horns are a bad idea for helmets because they would direct weaponry to your brain pan instead of deflecting it. (Also, Vikings were lucky to have helmets. One of the reasons for their effectiveness is that they were extremely lightly armed.)

Think that was the image Madonna wanted to project while in her cone phase? *snort* Hmm... an ambassadors' helmet, maybe?

Hmmmm... Loving Snape's journal.

When's the next chapter going up?

Lovely, er, cones? Looks rather uncomfortable to wear, though. :-)

Thanks! After three major revisions (read: rewrites), I think the next entry is just about ready to go.

Um... MAC... ... ... I'll talk to my 2nd beta. It has been a while, hasn't it?

As for the cones, well , they might be hell as far as chafing goes, but they do tend to... disarm the men I fight, so it all evens out. ;>)

Snape's birthday is the day after mine. For months before JKR posted it, I'd had a suspicion it was actually going to be on my birthday. (I wouldn't have minded. Right now, I share Jan. 8 with Elvis).

BTW, where can I find your story?

Elvis, eh? Good star to be born under. (sorry) Right now you can find my story in my living room. It really isn't readable yet, but I'm going to work on it and when it's a little better (like when it has some actual feeling to it), I'll post it here.

I was half tempted to point out that it can't have been to bad a dream if Alan Rickman made an appearance - but I recently had some rather evil nightmares myself. So: *hugs* I hope that writing it down has helped.

THanks. *hugs back* Writing it down helped in some ways, but man does it need work before it could be considered readable. It made me realize how limited I am as a writer, and that I'm not satisfied with that at all!

It isn't very often that I have a nightmare -- but when I do they are often really scary. . . I would be interested in reading your story when you get it done.

I have never had a dream with Alan Rickman in it, but I have often had dreams with Prof. Snape in them (not played by Alan Rickman, a purely made up by my brain Snape) and other characters from Harry Potter. Those dreams are usually really, really weird. . .

Have I told you lately just how much I LOVE Snape's Journal? I think I'm addicted!
