First, let me say that chocolate chips and babybel cheese is a wonderful combination. Like cheesecake only without the usual overwhelming sweetness (for those of you in the US, anyway. I remember very fondly the cheesecakes made by my Polish friend's mum way back when... not too sweet, not too rich... and nowadays I would totally dig the bittersweet chocolate topping!)

Second, I think I owe [livejournal.com profile] elfarren an apology. I don't think I squeed over her gift to me. True, it wasn't my prompt, but it was still fabulous, and you should go read it! It's called Balm of Gilead.

[livejournal.com profile] vanityfair00 was the awesome, awesome author of my first gift, A Sneaking Suspicion. I love it, btw, Vanity! Thank you so much!

And the stuff I did was of no consequence. No, really, it wasn't. But I'll list it anyway. :D

(Can I reveal traded secrets now? If not, I'll erase them.)

Originally, the prompt I was assigned was for [livejournal.com profile] mugglegirl0908. She, however, dropped out. So, the piece I'd created went to [livejournal.com profile] rarity instead. I would like to note that Mugglegirl's prompt specifically called for pretty clothing, which is why I put more effort into the robes than, well, composition. ;-) However, I hope it was good enough for [livejournal.com profile] rarity. :D

Then I did On the Battlefield for [livejournal.com profile] septentrion1970. How many of you (besides you, Keladry) guessed I did that one?

And, finally, I pulled No Comparison out of my, erm, hat at the last minute for [livejournal.com profile] poemomm, whose stories are fabulous, btw. I think that I will probably revisit "No Comparison" and expand it a bit before I post it anywhere. I really, really did not have the time to do the prompt or consequent idea justice.

So, that's that. It was fun. I participated a lot more than I thought I would, especially considering I was waffling on the subject of whether to participate at all!

[livejournal.com profile] ginny_weasley and [livejournal.com profile] shiv5468 deserve huge, HUGE kudos for their work organizing everything and making it all purdy and smooth. Everything was awesome, the fics were really good, the art was fantastic... It was great, gals! Thank you!

I loved both your art (two pieces, no less!) and your fic for the Exchange. I hope you don't mind if I'm friending you.

OMG, for On the Battlefield, I thought it was you but wasn't quite sure. I did know that unequivocally that it was HOT. HOT.

I cannot thank you enough for all of your help, avery! You did 2 pinch hits and you admin'd multiple stories and all this while you've been so terribly busy.

I thank you from the bottom of my heart. You are wonderful!

You are most welcome, Ginny! I actually felt rather useless (except for the last minute prompt thing), so I'm glad I was some help. :-)

Oooh ooh ooh! I spotted both of your art pieces (and loved them)!!!! :D I, however, did not recognize "No Comparison," which I thought was delightful, and I'm so happy you're going to write more of it! :D I'm so glad you decided to play this round- it made the exchange all the more fun to see an artist I knew and loved! Out of curiosity, did you do "On the Battlefiled" in gimp?

:D Would you have spotted "On the Battlefield" as mine had I not posted those black and white ss/hg pics a while back?

And yes, I did it in gimp. Colored it, anyway. I like the line drawing quite a bit as well, though.
