First, my mum, my aunt and numerous other people swear it's true, and not-so suddenly, poof! Research supports it!

Could fish be the ultimate mood food? Ohio State University researchers recently analyzed blood samples from 43 older adults and found that a high omega-6 to low omega-3 ratio corresponded to elevated inflammation and more symptoms of depression. This and previous research suggest that eating more fatty fish or supplementing with omega-3s could help us beat the blues.

Second thing proven to be good for the health? Laughter. Read this. I don't care if you're not a slasher, it's still damn funny. (Oh, but there are spoilers. oops)

I don't see why not.

My parents were diabetic and, I can tell you from experience, that low blood sugar can determine what sort of mood you are in. Why couldn't fish with this high concentration of omegas do the same sort of thing.

The article I was reading was talking more about taking fish oil supplements, but yes, getting it straight from the source is even better as it would help the blood sugar levels as well.

(And besides which, the saying, "A hungry man is an angry man" has always rung true to me. :-)
