Because I'm craving decent chocolate, not this imitation Hershey's crap.

Ah well. It will have to do. But it's a sad thing when marshmallow filled chocolates are less overwhelmingly sweet than straight (milk) chocolate.

*grumbles*

Bleh. HAte Cadbury's, except for the hot chocolate and cream eggs. All their other stuff is just gross to me.

Now Green & Black's, that's another matter entirely.

For me, Cadbury's is a hell of a lot better than Hersheys or Nestle. It's junk chocolate, but that's what I want dammit! If I wanted good chocolate, I know of a couple local places where I could get some (for an ouch amount of money, though).

Don't know about Green and Black's. British?

Hershey's and M&Ms used to be sufficient for me, but now that I'm grown up, I've unfortunately become more picky. Hershey's Symphony is pretty good, though. Do you have access to Ghirardelli? Even their chocolate chips in the baking aisle at the supermarket? I like eating chocolate that way; I don't feel obligated to finish off some huge chocolate bar all at once. Five or ten chocolate chips will tide me over for hours.

Ghirardelli and See's need to go nationwide. See's especially; it's better than Godiva, IMO.

Hershey's has never been sufficient for me, although Nestle used to do in a pinch. Not now, though. I don't like how Hershey's prepares their chocolate (they burn it!) and although symphony is better, they still hold to the sme practice. Ghiradelli is better, but if I'm going to eat chocolate chips there's an organic, dairy free kind I like much, much better. And actually, I don't really like Godiva much, either.

No, the thing is, I want the Canadian version (whether that's the same as British or not, I don't remember) of Cadbury's. Specifically. It's a craving. :-)

I don't know See's. Perhaps I should look for it.

You can get it at import shops. I know several suppliers.

Hmm. Perhaps I should try that. And you know, I was actually thinking about that when I passed this local Irish shop. But I had to go to the supermarket, so...

Of course, I want the Canadian version, not necessarily the British version...

CostPlus is my friend. They have chocolate. Real chocolate. I honestly don't think Hershey's qualifies in that category.

Herhey's does not qualify. It's candy, pure and simple. Bad candy, at that. Granted, Cadbury's is on the junky side as wedll, but I didn't want real chocolate! I wanted Cadbury's! Wah. :-)

I'm not sure there's a CostPlus in my area. And the local bulk stores only stock up on real chocolate around the holidays. :-(
