Yes, it is. Hubby told me that they did a study on detecting lies the other day (month, year, aeon) and in it they interviewed a bunch of people. Some were those you'd expect to be good at lie detecting, such as police, polygraphers, Secret Service and so on, while there also some random ones.
The only ones who were accurate were the Secret Service because they were trained in the stuff that article is talking about.
Now, whether that's more reassuring or scary, I don't know...
