2/3 cup small, black, seedless grapes
1/3 cup chopped cilantro
1/3 cup walnuts (chopped)
1 1/2 tsp miracle whip
Stir until mixed. Add either to romaine lettuce, eat as is or as a garnish/topping for grilled chicken.
Almond Toffee Apple Cake
3/4 c. butter
1 c. sugar
2 eggs
2 c flour
2 tsp baking powder
3/4 lb apples, sliced
Mix batter, place apples on top. Bake 350 for 50 - 60 minutes.
topping: melt 6 T butter on med heat, 1/2 c sugar and 1 T flour. Drizzle on.
Chorizo
1 lb ground meat
1 t salt
1 large garlic clove
2 t mild chili powder
2 - 3 t hot chili
1/2 t oregano
2 T vinegar
1 T water
Mash garlic and salt to make paste. Add chili powders. Crush oregano to fine powder and add to garlic mixture with vinegar and water. Add mix to meat and blend well. Cover tightly and refrigerate for 24 hours.
Phone's still out. Haven't heard from repair men. Har har.
I'm still working on outline of exchange piece... and am slightly daunted. I think I've been working too hard on it, though, as my mind is getting slightly fuzzy. It's either overwork or mold.
Today is the first day I've worn slippers inside since May. It is a good thing. Bad thing is I haven't done any work on patio and the weather is going to turn cold soon. It was too chilly this morning to go out, and so I never got motivated to do so... Bad me.
Made tacos last night, and Babe ate some of them for the novelty/challenge factor. Yay.
