Gosh. I forgot how wonderfully relaxing hot showers are. No, I haven't been showering so infrequently that I couldn't remember, it just that it's been summer, and I prefer not to suffer heat stroke unnecessarily.

But, oh my goodness. First hot shower of the season... It's probably a bit like what heroin is like, in that the rest aren't going to be quite as nice, and they'll be getting longer and longer as winter goes on, trying to reach that wonderful sense of peace this first one gave me.

Okay, maybe I shouldn't compare showers to drugs, but it sure felt nice.


Still haven't heard from the phone company, nor do we have a line. Geoff is going to call them again. Four days now. Unacceptable. There are people I want to talk to, and calls I need to make. Not to mention if there was an emergency, God forbid, it would be good to have a means of communication.


Today I plan to go clothes shopping for Babe. He needs a rain jacket. He should probably also get more socks in a bigger size. *sigh* At least his birthday is coming up relatively soon, so we can maybe get clothes out of his grandparents. :->


ETA: Ah, the best laid plans... Babe just fell asleep, so I guess I get some time to write (or play solitaire, as the case may be). Whee.

I think it was last week that I took my first warm -- as opposed to lukewarm or cool -- shower. Since May. There haven't been a lot of extremes here in SoCA this summer, it's just been steadily hot, the whole time. I'm looking forward to autumn settling in and my first HOT shower. *is jealous*
