So, here are a few versions of a new sketch I did today that I'm reasonably happy with.

Oh, and they may be placed in pairs, but they aren't necessarily paired up.

There's another design as well, but I'm not as happy with it, so I'm not going to show it yet.  I need to do some research before I'll be happy with it, I suspect.

So... Thoughts? Critiques? Help?

I like them. If I have to chose, I'd say 3, 5, 8 and 11 are my favourites. Not that the others aren't good, it's just my taste.

Hee! Those are basically my favorites, too, although I think I'd choose 6 over 5, but that's only because I have a very good idea of what it would look like finished (and it wouldn't necessarily be as flat as that).

They're lovely! My personal taste is more for the light-on-dark scheme, but that's just me.

Thanks! I like 1 better than 2, and 6 better than 5, but I definitely like 8 better than 7. And that's just me. :D

I like 3-8, mostly because I like the background colors.

I was wondering if you're going to put paintings up in your little card stall, too, just to give people a broader scope of what you do.

Thanks, and yes, I am. I'm going to put up this (http://pics.livejournal.com/averygoodun/pic/0001wayx/g108) and this (http://pics.livejournal.com/averygoodun/pic/0002ah60/g108) for sure, and hopefully get around to painting a couple smaller ones as well. They'll have to be done in acrylic, but ach well. I also have to get my shit in order and make a photographic portfolio for people to browse.

Thanks! I like the patterend packgrounds, too, but I think there will be something to be said for the flat backgrounds when their actually done, as well.

Oooh, nice twist on silhouette art! I like!

Favorites: 3 & 4 (I like cream on black, and vice-versa). 5 is good, but 6 I think is too washed out and glare-y. 7 & 8 are nice, as is 9. For 10, see note for 6. 11 is beautiful.

1 and 2 are good too--yay monochromes--but 3, 4 and 11 keep the simplicity while adding elegance, and that is cooooool. =)
