PSA

To those of you who live in cold, snowy climates, please, for the love of humanity, remember to wipe the snow off the TOP of your vehicle. Especially if it's crusted on. Not only is it courteous, but it's also very likely the law, and a damn good law at that.

The other day I was driving along and a big chunk of icy snow came off the minivan in front of me. I mean it was at least four square feet. Fortunately for everyone involved, the ice caught air and flew over to the side of the road, but I've gotta admit that it shook me to see something that large and hard come that close to my windshield.


Speaking of courtesy, I need to go out and apply more salt and shovel to the walkway. I think that's more pressing than tidying up inside. And at least Geoff excavated the rest of the icy snow from the walk, so I only need to chip away at the ice. Snow gardening is not for the weak of limb, ya'll. (And I call it 'gardening' because getting through the snow is much like digging out compacted soil.)

I'm seriously thinking of asking some of the neighbors if they want to split the cost of a snow blower. We only need one for the cul-de-sac...

*grumble frikken grumble*

Babe's back in diapers. At the moment they're just pull-ups, because that's what we have on hand, but next time I go to the store, I'm picking up size fucking six diapers. If he says he's a baby, by god, he's going to be treated like a baby.

On the plus side, I just put him down for a nap, because although big boys don't need naps, babies do. >-j

Now I just need to find a free or very cheap crib...

Irony is being allergic to peace lily pollen.

At least they're thriving, right?


And another thing... It would be nice (in a mixed blessing kind of way) to have properly working pain receptors. Sure, it would mean I'd probably be in agony a fair sight more, but it would also mean I'd be able to recognize simple things like hunger without extreme symptoms.
