Taking a break

I should be zipping about the house, looking for work to do but instead, I'm here. Participating in a love-a-thon.

dickgloucester, here's a way of spreading a little Christmas cheer. The idea seems to be to sign up, advertise to your f-list that you've done so, then sit back and wait for them to say nice things about you - anonymously. It's also the opportunity - and this is what makes it for me - to say gushy, wonderful things about your f-list without revealing who you are, so you can gush as much as you like. So please, f-list, sign up and pimp so I can come and Lurve you.
Well said, Dick! My comment is on page 24 - here.
This is the part about the holidays that I really do love, btw. The good cheer and glad tidings and stuff.
And, because it's in keeping with the Christmas theme, I thought I'd put some of my wishes down, so that maybe the Universe will hear me a little better.
1. A better job situation for Geoff which would allow him more time with Babe and me. With better wages. And something uses Geoff's real skills, such as communication and problem finding/solving abilities. Something that will remind him that he's a really nice, intelligent guy with a lot to offer the world.
2. Good health.
3. More confidence, preferably with reason to be confident, though I'm not picky on that point. ;-)
4. More energy and time to use what inspiration I find.
5. Parenting lessons.
6. Voice lessons.
7. Pre-stretched, good quality canvases of various sizes
8. A self-cleaning oven, preferably with a (nice, quiet) smooth top. And a level floor to put it upon. And new cabinets to coordinate with the new floor. In a better layout. :-D
9. Babe to be potty-trained (and it would be extra lovely if it was one of those overnight affairs... You know, wake up one morning and he knows what to do all by himself - and does it!). Soon.
10. Happiness.
I'm not asking for much, am I?
