Just caught a glimpse of myself in the mirror with my hood up (hair all covered), and for the first time in a long while, I don't look like I'm a cancer patient.

Very cool. Especially considering the hour.

Umm, this is going to be HORRIBLY non-PC but as I friended you somewhat recently I am unaware of some obvious things. I don't look like I'm a cancer patient." Are you / were you in fact a cancer patient? or is this just a metaphor? I don't want you to think that I am just being morbidly curious, I am a recent cancer survivor myself.

Not rude at all. How are we to get to know one another without asking a few questions here and there? Besides, we're reading one another's journals... how rude is that? LOL.

And thanks!

LOL, Excellent point, I didn't think about it that way.

And to answer your reply below (because I am shockingly lazy). It's been about 2.5 years, 3 in May for me and my fiance will hit 2 years in March. I had AMLeukemia and he had Hodgkin's Lymphoma. We're lucky like that. XD

Oh and don't worry about saying all cancer patients are unhealthy looking... mostly they are!!!!!! Plus, it was a very clear image if you meant looking beyond pale with dark circles and just generally bleh.

And I end up replying to myself again anyway... sigh. Why do I always think of something after I've posted... and why don't I get the edit button on comments? Do you have to be a paid member? At any rate, I digress, I was going to say that I am very willing to discussing most things and because of that I sometimes come off as non-PC / rude. When I remember I try to be better about it online, since type doesn't always convey mood or thought readily. (Of course this happens in real life too. sigh. I'm socially inept what can I say?)

No, fortunately for me it was a metaphor; cancer has not been in my repetoire of health issues. Perhaps I was being un-PC, though, because I was kind of implying that all cancer patients are unhealthy looking. Which is generalizing. A little. :-j

I'm sorry to hear you've been through cancer, though. Congratulations on surviving! I hope you've been clear of it for more than five years?
