re-vacuum (which necessitates picking up first. Again Geoff picked up for me while I was out!  How sweet is that?)
put up mini-shelves and figure out what I'm going to put on them
clean up kitchen a little more
finish laundry?
water plants
deal with baby crap (stuff) on landing
tidy up downstairs?
sweep and tidy bedrooms
dust
write some more (finish chapter?)
go to library with Babe, pref. in the morning
  pick up:

     Lamb: The Gospel According to Biff, Christ's childhood pal
     Persuasion

That's enough to be getting on with, I think.

I think I thought I had something more interesting to say earlier in the day, but whatever it was, it's gone now.  *shrug*  Oh well.  My mind is now revolving so much on SMHC that everything else is kind of just background noise.  But with luck, I'll get this story done before too long, and then, well... I don't know anymore.  Write original stuff?  Maybe.  If the urge strikes me.  Paint?  Oh... that would be nice, wouldn't it?  Take care of house and family?  Um...  Think?  *laughs*

Anyway, the muse is being kind after finally getting that last chapter out, so perhaps I'll be finding out sooner rather than later what I will devote my energies to once my fannish responsibilities have been met.  ;-)

But perhaps I will go to bed now instead of write.  After last night, I need the sleep rather desperately.  And if  go now, perhaps the nap I had earlier won't keep me awake?

Oh, god - you just reminded me that my list is so long there's not enough paper in the house to take it. I'm generally happy if everyone's fed, clothed and reasonably clean. It's a bonus if I can see the floor.

I am such a crap housewife. *sigh*

I have creative projects, too, but get overwhelmed by all the other stuff. I need to know how to organise myself. *sigh*

You write and paint. You're good at it.

Oh, this isn't my full list, either. For that, look at the top entry in my journal... the one dated November something 2008. That's my list (and I'm sure I haven't added everything to it, either). I try not to look at it often.

I am a crap housewife, too. Total and complete crap housewife. Okay, we don't have bugs running rampant, and since the cat moved in next door, the mouse problem's gone away as well, but yeah...

For me, there is no balance. If I'm doing creative things, the cooking and cleaning does NOT get done. Period. If I'm doing household things, creative stuff is just a dream. And then there's Babe....

So, really, I'm the wrong one to ask for ideas for organizing. The thing I'm waiting for, hoping it will help, is for Babe to go off to school so that I have a chance to split my time more evenly.
