Is it March yet?

In trying to stay on the up and up, I will not whine about the never ending winter, especially as I know several of you have winters far, far worse than this Every. Single. Year.
I will not whine about crabby toddlers, as I know that Babe is one of the sweetest, easiest children on the face of the planet.
I will not whine about lack of energy, as it is my own damn fault, nor will I whine about why it is my own damn fault. Though I may hum Margaritaville under my breath while I refrain from whining.
However, I WILL say thank you to
odogoddess and
warren61889 for their wonderful gifts in the exchange.
I WILL say thank you to everyone who left me such kind and wonderful reviews on the gifts I made for
ozratbag and
ayerf. I will even answer those reviews soon and thank you individually.
I WILL say thank you to
ginny_weasley31,
shiv5468,
scatteredlogic and everyone else who made the exhcange possible this round. You are all awesomeness personified.
I will also say thank you to those of you who have read and reviewed SMHC, though I will not whine about the temptation to finish it off with a bang next chapter. Which I won't do. I promise.
And, to finish off this not quite whiny post, I will list seven things I am grateful for and hope that negates my need to whine.
1. Sunshine. It may be only temporary, but it is always lovely to see blue skies.
2. Geoff. Sometimes he gets on my nerves, but he's a good man who loves us very much. He also has super-human patience, which is a very real blessing.
3. The fool-proofness of bread. Although maybe it's just a knack on my part that I can almost always get edible (and usually good) bread, even if it is very funky looking.
4. The Hugging Monster.
5. PBS Kids.
6. The six hour version of Pride and Prejudice.
7. My goldfish plant, that's not only survived the horrible neglect, but has been blooming up a storm.

Date: 2008-02-26 06:21 pm (UTC)Oh, PBS Kids can be a life-saver at times, though my youngest has mostly outgrown it, on days like today, it keeps her still and gives her something to stare out while she's lethargic and not wanting to do anything else. :)
And, btw, what you were posting about last night, let me just say that my husband does that to me too... hate it. It's one of the reasons WHY I stay up later on most occasions. For me, sleeping is a little ritual of preparing my brain to settle down and it's best done in silence. If someone is nattering on and keeping me awake it simply winds me up... very irritating. Though, to be fair, men fall asleep differently than women do and they can't grasp that.

Date: 2008-02-27 05:10 am (UTC)I have a feeling that Babe is starting to outgrow it, too. Well, either that or he's overdosed in the last couple weeks, what with the lethargic cold that's been doing the rounds in this house. Probably the latter... :-(
And that's exactly what it is for me, too. Usually Geoff is pretty silent, so going to bed with him isn't an issue on that front, but caffeine makes him very talkative, so...
*hugs again*

Date: 2008-02-27 11:03 pm (UTC)By all means! May I friend you back? I was going to friend you after I got your prompt, but I felt that would be a giveaway, so I refrained.
