I'm feeling sad and lonely today. I'm not sure why, although I'm sure I could come up with factors if I tried. Like the fact that it's raining and cold out after having been really quite beautiful last week. And the fact that I basically haven't seen Geoff for the last week, as work is really ramping up for both the Olympics and IPS, so I miss him. And not getting great sleep for the last five days or so probably doesn't help, either.

So yeah, I can come up with reasons why, but it doesn't make the feeling go away.

So... anyone out there?

It happens, although not nearly as frequently lately as used to. Yay.

How goes your garden? I s'pose that should be 'how grows your garden'... Have the mini roses burst into bloom yet?

I'm here! I know that sad and lonely feeling very well - it's not nice, and it's difficult to throw off. What I do generally is have a nice bath to make myself feel warm, then make a cup of tea and curl up with a good book - some really absorbing story or other. TV can help, but sometimes I find that seeing other people on the telly makes me feel lonelier because they aren't with me.

And I know it's a real bummer when the husband isn't around much and you don't feel as though you've had any significant contact with another adult for days. No fun at all.

So hang in there. Be nice to yourself. Pamper yourself a little. Use LJ as much as you like. We may not be on your doorstep, but we ARE a community of friends.

Yay! I think a good night of sleep would help tremendously, but that just hasn't been happening lately. Mostly because of Geoff's schedule. :-( And watching tv is one of those thing that Geoff and I do together, so it would definitely increase the lonely feeling...

But, I just re-read camillo's Good As Gold (which is why I was slow to get back to you), and that helped. Some tea wouldn't go amiss, either, I just have to decide whether I want regular or chai...

So, what have you been up to lately? Besides doctor's visits and figuring out how to cope with children, that is.

Haven't had the time, energy, opportunity - take your pick - to be up to anything much. :-(
However, I'm currently working on a pair of applique badger heads for part of my costume for the masquerade ball at Portus. I'll be posting some picspam when it's ready - now that on the third attempt I seem to have finally got the eyes right!
I've also been reading "The Innocent Mage" and "The Awakened Mage" by Karen Miller - most enjoyable.
