I hate being a grown-up sometimes.
My birthday is next weekend, which happens to be the same weekend of the annual church getaway. I desperately want to go, but, really, we can't make it this year. Yet again. There are many valid reasons why we can't make it this year, but the disappointment still stings.
I like these people! I want to bond with them! But, life intervenes. Bah.
Kind of like Portus, really.
As I said, I hate being a grown-up sometimes.

*sigh*
But we can still enjoy much of what IS doable.

Date: 2008-06-05 06:05 pm (UTC)Perhaps it isn't being grown-up at all, but having an imagination and a decent grasp of the logic of consequences. Not that I would wish for one minute not to have either!
Yes, we can. And I am planning to enjoy next weekend regardless. :-)
