In the last 24 hours, Geoff has worked 23. In the last 48 hours, he has worked 40. In the last seven days, he has worked approximately 130 hours. That's on top of 96 hour work weeks for the two preceding weeks.

He has a week and a half to go before the craziness is over. I'm hoping he'll survive.

Babe is not at all happy with Geoff, and my heart goes out to the poor little dude. I've been trying to reassure him that his daddy does love him, he does miss him and doesn't want to be away so much... But, really, that doesn't mean much when the person you love is gone, does it?

There have been several things that have been bumming me out lately, but there are also good things. I stayed up way, waaaaaaay too (fuckingly stupidly) late last night reading the first hundred chapters or so of "The Apprentice and the Necromancer". Good story so far. Because I stayed up too late, I was very tired today, however, I managd to get two naps in. One was when Babe was at his FIRST DAY OF PRESCHOOL! OMG! which he enjoyed, and the other was in the evening.

The second nap, Babe tried to put a halt to, but when it became obvious that he was fighting a losing battle, he gave in and joined me on the couch. I had forgotten how lovely it is to fall asleep with your child. It's only happened a couple of times in Babe's life, but... He is so precious.

And now to bed. I wonder if when I wake up, Geoff will be there or not. Odds are even at this point.

Oh, wow! He just got home!

To bed now.

Enjoy your time with your family as they grow up too quickly.

Love Sonia :)

Wow, I hope Geoff isn't going to faint from exhaustion.

It's a good thing that Babe likes pre-school, I think. It's so difficult when children cries and cries because they don't want to leave their parents.

A successful first day of pre-school is reason to celebrate! The little Buzzes have always loved their school/pre-school time, which makes it so much easier to send them away and give Mommy some time of her own. Big huge bummer about Geoff's work, though. That sounds completely inhumane.
