Bedtime ramble
Aug. 26th, 2008 11:35 pmWell, I have three big boxes packed with all the non-essentials from my kitchen. They are the worst packed boxes I've ever done, but seeing as they won't be moved at all, and there are more boxes where they came from, I'm not all that concerned.
Everything has been confirmed, however. I got a phone call this afternoon saying the cabinets will be delivered between 8am and noon on the 3rd. I confirmed with the plumber that they're set to divide the drain soetime on the 3rd. NDN has agreed to install the cabinets starting the 3rd (seeing as he leaves on the 5th...) Our floors will probably come in around the third as well.
So, beyond making two phone calls this morning (I'm phone-phobic!) and packing up the boxes, I also cleared out the 'to-be-filed' drawer. That took way more time than the packing did. Ergh. Really need to do that more often than twice a year.
Tomorrow is looking like it's going to be a busy day, but hopefully it'll be a good day as well. After my allergy shot, Babe and I will go to the library for story hour, the bank and then to the local farm store. Then I get to make pea soup (stocking the fridge for microwave existence) and/or mac and cheese, though only if I'm not completely wiped.
I think the allergies are starting to hit hard now. Yesterday I was pretty out of it all day, and today I itched and snuffled and sneezed and snorted. And ached. Having taken Claritin all summer, I forgot that a) only Claritin, and not the store brand stuff, works; and b) how sucky allergies are. I hope I don't react to the allergy shot worse than usual because of it.
But now I've managed to relax myself enough to consider sleeping. Yay!
I don't know if Geoff will be taking his laptop with him to work or not, but if he does, I likely won't be around much, as the connection is painfully, painfully slow (worse than dial-up) on the windows machine. And spotty. And prone to crashing the system. And, I can only use Exploder because firefox freaks out. So yeah. No computer for me. But considering all I have to get done, that might not be a bad thing right now. ;-)

Date: 2008-08-27 12:36 pm (UTC)Sorry aboutt eh allergies, though. There's something in the air here at the moment that's making me sneeze, but it's nowhere near as bad as yours sounds. I generally use Zyrtec when it gets bad.

Date: 2008-08-28 06:20 pm (UTC)Zyrtec doesn't touch my allergies. Claratin reduces them, but at this time of year, nothing stops them.
Ahfuck.The keyboardspacebarhas goneoff. Pisser.
