That's me right now.
Tomorrow and beyond:
[] = Geoff's tasks
Church too damn early till noon (opt.) (didn't do)
[rip boards for sliding shelves]
[finish wiring fridge outlet]
[perhaps figure out dishwasher wiring mystery]
make shelves
[take out sink cabinets]
make counter/sink support to replace cabinet
box up bad cabinets
sand and recoat fridge hole
put last shelf on sliders
vacuum living room
AND EITHER:
make cardboard thing for wall opening and adjust (yes, that makes sense to me)
clean out closet
[remove shelving and support boards in closet]
remove drywall (carefully? Is that possible?)
build frame for false wall
measure the shit out of wall
cut out wall opening
build support frame to replace stud
[make top wiring possible]
plug and patch wall holes
construct frame and supports (making damn sure it's level)
OR
find spec sheet for stair shelves
remeasure openings and angles
make stair shelves
Hmm. We'll see how ambitious I am tomorrow. If I go the first route, there's the very real possibility that I could get the entryway finished while Geoff is gone this week. That and the closet would be back to usability before coat weather arrives. There are several other advantages to that route, although the time and energy it will take is significantly greater.
Either way, it's looking like a long day.
Oh, but yesterday I bought a sink! It's a one and a half bowl in black granite (composite) that should look veeeery nice with my counters. I'm excited. Even if it is going to take a month to get here.
*sigh*
Speaking of months, I have such a buttload of stuff to get done in the next six weeks, and that's barely even counting the kitchen stuff. I hope I'm up for it.
Had a really nice day off today. We went down to Boston area for a friend's child's birthday party, and had a great time with them and their friends. D told me where to go for woodworking lessons (I'm not touching a table saw until I know how to use one safely), and loaned me one of his woodworking textbooks. Whee!
On another note, it is so cool that one of their friends/neighbors, when asked if it was his brother outside, was able to respond, "He's my husband." Real social progress is happening, even if the critics of such progress tend to get more air time.
