So, I put the first coat of the color on... Wow, is it dark! And it's going to dry darker. I have to keep reminding myself that the fridge is going to be covering at least half of the area painted. I like it, though. It's just rather shocking. Despite knowing that it was going to be dark.

However, the display cabinet is going to really shine in the middle of all that darkness. And the color (a mix between dark brown and maroon) goes very nicely with the living room's butter yellow.

And, if it turns out I don't like it in the long run, I can always paint it over again. :-)

I'm looking forward to showing off as well, though pictures are almost never as good as real life.
