Oct. 12th, 2008 08:14 pmYa know what I like? Green curry. How my display cabinet is turning out so far. Sitting down and relaxing.
Ya know what I don't like? Chaos. Delays. Sore throats.
Our dishwasher is back in the living room, almost dead center, because that's where there was room. Fortunately, it now has an intact heating element, so perhaps it'll work better when it's reinstalled. Which hopefully will be tomorrow, though it was supposed to be yesterday. Or the ninth. Or last Sunday.
*sigh*
It will be worth it, though. The color I chose for the fridge walls is like chocolate. It's rich and deep and comforting. And it looks fabulous with the island top and I'm almost positive will look fabulous with the counter tops.
I've also figured out how to tie the entire room together perfectly. It'll be a bit of fussy paint work, but it should do the trick. Whee!
Unfortunately, painting season is coming to a close. Thursday is pretty much the last day we (I) can paint because according to the forecast it'll be too chilly to keep the windows open after that. And since I'm not about to spend $60 a gallon on VOC-free paint, that means I'd better hurry up and finish.
Everything takes so much longer than expected, though. Everything.
But, I haven't lost hope of completing this kitchen yet.
Even if I do take Tuesday off to go galavanting with Geoff and look at all the pretty trees. It will be awesome to have a day away from the house. And then come home to a newly painted, no longer smelly, ready to move into its real home fridge.
And now I'm off to have a shower. I've been having a lot of those lately, for some reason.
