averygoodun4230 hour work days should be outlawed. It's just stupid to make workers work that long, anyway. The brain stops functioning efficiently after only a fraction of that time, causing mistakes and lags and other such things.
At least Geoff is now home. And in bed. And hopefully asleep. And hopefully he'll stay that way for the next fourteen hours or so. It won't make up for the last week, but at least he'll be somewhat human in the morning.
I've been reading fanfiction for the first time in aaages. It all started the other night when I noticed Pet Project had been updated (squee) and has kind of snowballed form there. Can anyone recommend any completed fics that have been written (or finished) in the last six months or so? I suppose I should go read up on the quiz entries. That would be a good way of finding such fics.
This reading makes me kind of want to write again, but, um... I don't have ideas. Not for SMHC, not for Prince's Wood or anything. What I want to write is either the aborted exchange fic from the other year (but I really want to a) re-read it first and b) get feedback and ideas on a few sticky problems) or a pseudo o-fic based on the tale of Sleeping Beauty starting with her arousal.
But of course, the whole desire to write is just procrastination raising it's ugly head. I'd really intended to paint (artistically) today, but... yeah. Headaches, chills and backaches are not conducive to setting up canvases.
But shit. It's late. I need to get painting.
And that is not going to happen today. Nope.
Earlier in the week I noticed the Writer's block was something like "What unnecessary item can you not live without?"
My answer? A working kitchen sink. It isn't necessary, but gawd, life becomes unlivable so quickly without one.
Anyway, that's enough whinging for today. And tomorrow is another day.
