averygoodun42I woke up this morning with no idea what to do today. There's lots to do obviously, but, well, I've lost track of the list in my head, and so prioritization has gone out the window.
Fortunately, I was able to think of an "oh shit" item that managed to get me out of bed.
I need to start working on that very, very soon. But first I would like to get my head together and reform that list of other stuff.
Two big projects left, a million small projects.
Two big projects (not necessarily in order):
Tile and grout backsplash
living room (paint ceiling, install crown moulding, remove carpet, install floor)
The tiling is a full day's job, while the grouting is a four hour job. The living room is at least a weekend. Probably more.
'Small' projects:
shelves - shim, attach front pieces, caulk, prime and paint
reinstall door trim for stairway
paint trim that needs it
paint doors
cut ledge pieces to size, reinstall, paint
install flooring in closet
install all t-mouldings where needed (and stairnose)
install glass shelves in display cabinet
install door for display cabinet (get glass for door) (wait a month on this to prevent sticking)
find air register for kitchen
install rest of baseboard in kitchen
hang pictures
reinstall cubby drawer thingies
make paneling for hallway cupboards
make and install flip-down shelf
make and install shallow island drawer (low priority)
scrub and paint basement stairwell wall
finish touch-up painting
reinstall bib on dishwasher
replace old receptacles
wash windows
organize kitchen
...
and whatever else I've forgotten.
Nice thing is that yesterday we got the entryway grouted, so that's pretty much done. Need to let it cure a bit more before we can walk on it, and therefore before we can reinstall the clost door, but it's better already.
It is getting there. It is. And to have a functional kitchen again (the fridge was moved back into its home on Friday, did I mention?) is wonderful. But it's still chaos. Just slightly controlled chaos.
But now I need to go start that "oh shit" project. And today I need to take advantage of the last day of warm weather to repot two plants. And tonight I need to make Babe's costume. And sometime before Friday I need to make quick false frames for the triptych pieces. And pick up and frame the photos. And also look through all my available photos for fillers in case the gal who agreed to share the gallery with me doesn't show.
And, and, and...
And hopefully this is just allergies and not another cold coming on.
