Randomness
Nov. 22nd, 2008 04:10 pmBaking season has definitely descended, if only to keep the house warm. And yes, we do have a good furnace.
Babe came up with an excellent new expletive: 'Aw poowinkle' I love it. I must remember to use it when the occasion calls for it.
I hope the weather does warm up just a little bit, as I want to get a few peace lilies for the house. Preferably four, one for each room above ground level.
I've been off the vitamin D for about a week (ran out) and my skin is a mess again. Granted that also coincides with cold temps and lots of hot, dry air being circulated. The hygrometer says it's down to 35% humidity! Wow.
I'm going to lop off the top of my dracaena soon. When I get the peace lilies, I'll get a nice-ish pot for the cuttings, and hopefully they'll survive being messed with at the wrong time of the year.
Demon!Babe has been striking (often literally) more often lately, with the most recent attack this morning at about 5. I do not deal well with demon children. I do not like them. Fortunately, he is super-dooper cute at all other times.

And the real winner:

However, this morning I dreamt of him running across a busy road, right in front of a big pickup truck (they're all big nowadays, though, aren't they?) He made it through okay, but the dream ended with me chasing him down with the intent of tackling him, not caring if either of us got scraped up. I just wanted him to know a fraction of the danger and cost.
It was not a good dream.
I'm waiting for Geoff to get home now. He left about noon, and assuming an hour's drive each way, they should be getting done. He's going to be so pooped when he gets home, though. He got less sleep than I did.
