Going backwards
Jan. 13th, 2009 02:33 pmI'm freezing. And today is the warm day. I just put on a pair of my new tights, and it seems to be helping, but, considering the room is at about 72 degrees, and I'm in 2 - 4 layers of clothes (shirt, sweatshirt, sweater and scarf), I should not be cold.
Sometimes I hate being cold-blooded.
This morning I dreamt about Daniel Craig. I'm not sure if he was Bond or not, but there was definitely an awful lot of international intrigue going on, complete with a hostage situation, swat invasion (I said international) and, of course, a deadly mix-up. Fortunately, it was a dream so I got to go replay the invasion and catch the bad guy (Voldemort?) from kidnapping the Dalai Lama again by dressing up as him.
Damn baldies. They all look alike.
Last night I made my first batch of spaghetti sauce of the season. I have determined that I still have to get used to this stove's quirks. However, I managed not to burn the sauce to the bottom of the pot (which, considering that it was at a roiling boil for more than half an hour, is rather astonishing) and it turned out really quite tasty. It helps that I actually added a pepper or two to the pot while cooking. No reason to leave it out when Babe isn't going to eat it anyway.
And yesterday afternoon, I made my second very successful batch of bread. Adding enough salt really is essential.

Date: 2009-01-13 10:03 pm (UTC)I am cold at home most of the time. It's rather annoying to spend most of my days hugging the radiator. (On the other hand, in the office, I was far too warm even in just a short-sleeved T-shirt today, but having the window ever so slightly ajar just to let a bit of air in made other people grumble.)
