Okay, no kitchen pics at this moment first, because it really isn't finished yet. Although it wouldn't hurt to record what it looks like without the finishing touches (like the backsplash), but then I'd have to tidy up, which is the second reason there aren't any at the mo'.

Oh, thank you! I was really pleased with myself for managing to make a festive, yet not... confined to the holiday, display. At some point I'll have to adjust it, but... whee!

Oh wow! It looks like a different house. I love the colors, and the carpet!

A friend commented this Xmas that she didn't know what to get me because I wasn't 'materialistic.' I took this as a compliment, but the truth of the matter is that if I had money I'd spend it, and especially on things like making my house (and myself, lets be honest here) beautiful.

I know this has taken you a very long time and that you have done most the work yourself. But I think the most important transformation that's occurred here is that you've made your house a home. Congratulations!
