*big sigh*

The service went well. I was shaking like a leaf, but everyone said I came off as calm and collected as can be. And they all liked my 'reflection'. Whee.
If you like, I will post the link to the recording when it goes up (friends only, though, I'm afraid). The highlight of the service was nothing to do with me, it was the song "Blessed Be".
Figured out that my sudden energy loss yesterday was a migraine coming on. The pain hit just after I posted last night. Fortunately, taking two tylenols and one naproxen (and keeping it all down) seemed to help, as I woke up without it this morning. Yay.
And the first born meme looks fun, so here it goes.
1. WAS YOUR FIRST PREGNANCY PLANNED? No.
2. WERE YOU MARRIED AT THE TIME? Yes.
3. WHAT WERE YOUR REACTIONS? Shocked. Nervous. Worried. Scared. Relieved.
4. WAS ABORTION AN OPTION FOR YOU? Yes and no. The thought did and still does seem utterly wrong, but if the risk was too high, then...
5. HOW OLD WERE YOU? 26
6. HOW DID YOU FIND OUT YOU WERE PREGNANT? Late period combined with an instinctual question. Then the over-the-counter pee stick.
7. WHO DID YOU TELL FIRST? Geoff.
8. DID YOU WANT TO FIND OUT THE SEX? Yes and no. We ended up finding out because I was worried about names. (Couldn't think of anything for a girl's name.
9. DUE DATE? November 12th, 2004
10. DID YOU HAVE MORNING SICKNESS? Food aversions and mild nausea. No vomiting.
11. WHAT DID YOU CRAVE? Fruit. But it couldn't be in sugar syrup, because even the thought of sugar made me nauseous.
12. WHO/WHAT IRRITATED YOU THE MOST? Mood swings and bed 'rest'.
13. WHAT WAS YOUR FIRST CHILD'S SEX? Male.
14. DID YOU WISH YOU HAD THE OPPOSITE SEX OF WHAT YOU WERE GETTING? Not really.
15. HOW MANY POUNDS DID YOU GAIN THROUGHOUT THE PREGNANCY? 10?
16. DID YOU HAVE A BABY SHOWER? No.
17. WAS IT A SURPRISE OR DID YOU KNOW? N/A.
18. DID YOU HAVE ANY COMPLICATIONS DURING YOUR PREGNANCY? In my eighth month my blood pressure shot up (hence the bed rest), though I didn't become fully pre-ecclampsic until I was in labor. Most of my complications happened postpartum.
19. WHERE DID YOU GIVE BIRTH? Hospital.
20. HOW MANY HOURS WERE YOU IN LABOR? Well... technically I was having contractions on Thursday the 4th when I was admitted (they were going to induce, but, well, I was already contracting), but I couldn't even feel them. They broke my water Friday evening, and Babe was born at 2 that night. So about 6 hours of transition (and back) labor.
21. WHO DROVE YOU TO THE HOSPITAL? I can't remember. I think it was my mum.
22. WHO WATCHED YOU GIVE BIRTH? Geoff, and possibly my mum. (details are sketchy.)
23. WAS IT VAGINAL OR C-SECTION? Vaginal. If I'd known I could have got my tubes tied easily with a C-Section, I would have insisted on that route. Though overall I'm glad it was vaginal.
24. DID YOU TAKE MEDICINE TO EASE THE PAIN? Hell yes! It was back labor and I had high blood pressure! It still hurt like a bitch.
27. HOW MUCH DID YOUR CHILD WEIGH? 7 pounds 2 ounces
28. WHEN WAS YOUR CHILD ACTUALLY BORN? November 6th, 2004
29. WHAT DID YOU NAME HIM/HER? Babe
30. HOW OLD IS YOUR FIRST BORN TODAY? 4
