Okay, I need some help. I want to be a super heroine, or at least dress up as one, in about a month and was thinking that this would be an excellent time to take out the gold lame pants Geoff got me for Christmas. Thing is, I don't know of any super heroines who wore gold lame leggings.

Do you?

Hopefully, if there is such a heroine, she won't be too scantily clad (e.g. the Silk Spectre), as this is for a church function. If she is... at least I'm a UU. ;-)

um, Jean Gray wore thigh high gold boots with her green leotard when she was the Phoenix. That's all I can think of.

well, Iron Man/Woman is pretty modest!

or.... hmmm.... how about Joan of Arc? get a gold lame blouse, cover the blouse with a (not sure what it's called - looks like two tea towels, worn front and back, joined at the shoulders but in nice fabric) with a French fleur-de-lis or cross on the front. carry a plastic sword that Babe might enjoy later - or a long stick with a banner. see statue

Microwave superheroine Firestar, who I was always forced to play because I didn't own Wonder Woman Underoos like my best friend Staci.

Also, because it seemed funny and (in)appropriate: http://beatonna.livejournal.com/85420.html

If you haven't subscribed to Kate Beaton's blog, I highly recommend it. She's a Canadian cartoonist who is in love with history and her cartoons always make my day. Plus, the Canadian history aspect, while I don't always understand the references, remind me of Due South and you.
