Almost unheard of

While Geoff was still here for a late lunch, I found myself getting irritated by the sound of his and Babe's interaction, so I took myself upstairs with my (green) tea and a book. I finished the chapter, put the book and tea on the side table and fell asleep.

I do remember Geoff leaving, as there was a bit of a struggle between him and Babe. I also vaguely remember Babe coming upstairs and climbing up on the bed.

I also remember checking the clock and thinking it looked like it was nine something in morning. A couple of times. I was not with it.

But the unheard of thing was that Babe didn't try to wake me up when he joined me in bed. He didn't climb all over me, demanding to play. He just curled up next to me and went to sleep.

He's still asleep up there.

I think we're all coming down with something again.

I'm sorry to hear that. I do hope you're wrong about getting sick (though given Babe's usual liveliness, this seems unlikely), but if you are, I hope it's of a short duration.

(fingers crossed) I hope you're not all ill again. I'd just enjoy having Babe curling up in your bed to sleep -- that's one of the best perks of being a mum!
