I've been 'friended' twice by a person I don't know, and who seems to have a journal to stick advertisements into. Frankly, I don't want this person near me.

Is there anyway to exile her/him and block them from adding me in the future?

As far as I know, you can't stop someone friending you. You just don't friend back, and then they can't read your flocked entries.

This happened to me quite some time ago, which is why I went flocked.

Not that I'm aware of, though I do know how to stop them commenting on your journal, should they ever start doing that.

I don't think you can keep someone from friending you, but you can ban specific users, which keeps them from commenting in your LJ. I've only had to ban a couple of people, but one of them was really, really nasty, so I don't feel the least bit guilty about it. Instructions here.

You can ban this user or report this person of being a spambot.

On second thought, yes, what this person said. Point the lj abuse team at them.

You can ban them from commenting in your journal. Hover your curser over their icon and a whole list of actions appear. You can also set up a filter to make sure they are not able to read posts. A bit of a hassel but quite effetive. You can also report the person as a bot, if you think they are indeed one. LJ will generally suspend their journal for that.

You can also ask them to de-friend you. I have done that. Sometimes they are quite innocent in internet procedures. Sometimes they are jerks. They always did what I asked though.
