The computer exists solely to piss me off.

However, there are minor good things to compensate.

Dental work will be about half of what I was expecting it to be, money-wise.

We got a small portion of the reimbursement due to us, which will cover the dental work. And a few bills.

My rhuemy ordered me to bitch talk to my friends more about my stressors. This is not necessarily a good thing for you guys, but it relieves my guilt. ;-]

Babe has been rather sweet, if talkative and "accident" prone. I forgot how much laundry accidents make.

Chocolate frosty-cinos are lovely, lovely things. Need to cut back on them, though.

Am almost finished on a new pair of pants, and I like how they're turning out. Not the most professional looking job, but I've solved a good lot of problems without any help, so am proud of myself.

...

FIgured out that the chest pains I've been having are probably just scar tissue flaring. It's in the region where my last batch of shingles originated, so that could be exacerbating it, too. Doc thinks either is likely, though she says that stress will make it all worse. Not that I've been under any stress lately. Nooooooo.

I've come up with a plan to build an arbor, a movable arbor, for our poor grape. This grape has survived, and almost thrived, despite not havig a support, being mowed a couple times, being in the shade and in soggy soil... It is a shining example of the persistence of life. I want to make at least one thing easier for it.

So, if I feel better tomorrow, I shall be getting lumber and making an arbor. However, I'll have ot be quick about it as there's only a slim window of no rain predicted for this weekend.

I am tired of the rain. Or, at the very least, I am tired of the gray. I need a certain amount of blue in a week, and my blue quota has not been met. Thank goodness for vitamin D.

Um... yeah. That's that for right now. Need some tea and then we're off to get a new power-supply for the laptop. This one is dying, I think.

Ciao.

Yay for a dental bill being *less* than expected!

I'm with you on the icky weather though. Soooo done with it.

I hope the chest pain goes away soon.

Yes! Yay indeed! The grand total is about what predicted our share to be. Even if it is crappy coverage, it's nice to have some form of dental insurance!

One of my friends round here commented that it's been raining so much lately that the slugs are going up the walls to avoid drowning! The main thing I want, though, is for the pressure to stabilize. These low pressure systems are killing me.

It's intermittent, and both lungs and heart sound fabulously healthy (okay, I'm sure my heart could use a bit of cardio, but...), so I'm not worried about it. It's just a pain. No pun intended? ;-)

Of course! The construction bug has bit again. I kind of wish it were the drawing bug, but, c'est la vie. ;-)

Anything that is not as expensive as expected is a HUGE plus these day! :)

And I don't mind hearing about your stress. After all, you wade through mine all the time. Lol!

Isn't it? I was also pleasantly surprised the other day when I checked the price of milk. It was only 2.39 a gallon (whole)! That's down a full dollar or more from a year ago!

It's funny, I have no problem reading your and everyone else's rants/bitches/whatnot, but I feel so... boring... putting my own out there. *shrug* Whatever. ;-)

Rant at us! Please do. Then I can rant back without guilt. ;)

I found myself grinning hugely yesterday remembering how we hauled a tree out of your parents' back yard and planted it at Fairview. Just to share the memory. It's one of my favorites. =)

See, it's funny. I have no problem listening to your rants and being sympathetic and supportive and all that, but somehow it's different coming from me. Stiff upper-lip syndrome, I s'pose. ;-]

That was fun, and I'm glad it's a favorite memory! And thank you for reminding me that not all of high school sucked! =)

I think most people who rant feel like that. Heaven knows I do!!

Much of high school sucked, but that was a really terrific bit.

I saw in Facebook that Revier and Keller both just retired. I'm still not sure if I admired Revier or was really pissed at him, or perhaps both.

They both retired? Geez! I thought Keller was younger than that!

Revier... He sure got a good sound out of us. I don't know. Having grown up with my dad, Revier was just another guy with his bastard's license. He was a tempermental bastard, but he had earned the right to that. I learned so much, and learned it so well, I lean towards the admiration. I actually think he's one of the best teachers I've ever had, despite his temper tantrums. :-)

Am sick of the rain down here too. It has done nothing but rain (except for yesterday). Hudson's excursion has been cancelled twice and it is freezing. Rain and cold not a good mix.

Trust you are well.

Love Sonia :)

Yes, but it's winter down there! That's to be expected! It's supposed to be summer up here. God-awful, meltingly-hot and humid summer. (I am not complaining about the temperature right now, just the grayness).

At least your winters are relatively short. Should be warming up in what, a month?

Cheers, doll!
