Food smells good
Aug. 21st, 2009 08:28 pmI am making green curry (from scratch) with fish, zucchini and mushrooms. It smells divine.
For a post-food shopping snack, I had veggie sushi with lots of wasabi. It was perfect.
For desert, I got sesame buns to steam. I will need to brush my teeth very thoroughly tonight.
And there was a tornado watch for tonight, meaning there was an honest-to-goodness thunderstorm. I think the majority of the storm has already passed over, but it was nice while it lasted.
Last night I was reminded to "wipe myself clean and cut the cord", pranically speaking, and it helped immensely. It was more of a scrub-down, though, there was so much bad juju sticking to me. But the end result was tons less anger and far more cheeriness. A decent night's sleep probably helped with that, too.
Oh, and did I mention that a friend took Babe out for a good four hours while I went to an appointment and otherwise had me-time?
And every time I think about moving to my soul's home (soonish?), I smile.
This was a surprisingly happy Friday, despite the oppressive heat. Yay!
