Knödel, anyone?

averygoodun42Does anyone have a good, trusted recipe for knödel (that doesn't involve a mix I can't get)?
As soup season (slowly) approaches, I have a feeling I will be hankering for them. Not that I'll be able to eat them often (potato and wheat are verboten), but... mmm.
I think I'm hungry now. I shall go eat the leftover curry.
