I don't recognize myself lately. I have become a busy little bee, and it's a little disconcerting. I'm the one who used to make up excuses to stay inside, away from other people, and here I am actively participating (if not helping to organize!) in groups and such.

Buuuuuuuuut... It's a good thing. Especially as today Ima gonna go a paintin'! I still haven't decided whether I'm going to paint with oils (it's not my house! I don't have to worry about the fumes!) or with my fabric. That fabric painting I started months ago is still languishing, unfinished, on my wall. And since I've figured out how to finish it (assuming my idea pans out), I would like to work on it.
But, either way, I am totally psyched.
I'm not sure I will have the energy to go set painting tonight, but hopefully I will. After all, what's life without fumes?
Fortunately, tomorrow is much lower key, and Saturday has no plans set, besides figuring out what to do for Babe's birthday (OMG! He's going to be 5!!!) party and doing a bit of reading.
I am not looking forward to the whole party thing, btw. But, well, five is a major milestone birthday. We can't just sluff it off like we've sluffed off his previous birthdays. If any of you have good, INEXPENSIVE ideas for little kid parties (or, better yet, little kid games!), I would be most grateful to hear them.
(And, hmm... how to address the gift thing... I don't want him getting lots of gifts... We just don't have the room! Not to mention I don't want people to feel obligated to spend lots of money on him...)
Oh. And at some point I really must start reading up on composition and acrylic techniques! Hmm... Library tomorrow? Saturday? Sunday? Whenever I finish "Princess in Love"? (yeah, yeah, whatever. I've needed teh fluffiness and there's no more Stephanie Plum to indulge in.)
Oh. And laundry. :-6
Anyway, I should go pick up Babe from school. And figure out what's for lunch. And...
Really. When did I become a grown-up?
