Good thing: Computer is working again. Don't know for how long, but I have access to my files and the internet, so that's good.
Bad thing: Geoff is out of town till Saturday. Again. Buffalo project exploded (not quite literally, though there may have been micro-explosions). This is unpleasant for all of us and I am very much looking forward to the weekend.
Good thing: money we put into our new HSA (Health Savings Account) can get used for OTC meds as well as dental stuff! Whee! Also, thank goodness pharmacies offer prescription plans that will make getting drugs affordable even without effective insurance. Also, well visits, including immunizations and such, are covered completely.
Bad thing: We still only have (what is effectively) catastrophe insurance, and my visits to my rheumy will not be covered, except under the massive deductible. No more mental therapy sessions after the 1st of November, either. For any of us.
Good thing: painting tomorrow.
Bad things: logistical nightmares abound this week. Need (unknown) daytime babysitter two days in a row.
I am stiff and inflamed, including my gums (which is not at all good considering my teeth are being worked on Thursday) and have to give up my cocoa till I'm better.
I am emotionally bruised.
I don't have any fluff to read.
Good things: Babe really has reached the five-year-old threshold. He's a delight.
I cleaned the living room and kitchen yesterday, meaning the floors don't go crunch anymore, and the sink is clear of all dishes, and the table-top is safe to eat off of. Yay!
I don't have to cook for the rest of the week, unless it's for treats.
My best friend from jr. and high school friended me on facebook. I hadn't heard from her since Geoff and I got married, seven years ago. That made me very happy, indeed.
Now, I need to go nominate some more (I hope my nom doc will recover lost info!), send two dark(ish) short fics off to be betaed so they can be submitted for points, and... work on my SBB piece, before it's too late.
Oh, and I have to figure out how to adjust the screen so that I can use the scroll bar. I can't move the browser window over by the cursor so as to adjust the size of the window, and the monitor won't do it because it's old and lame. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
