I had an odd dream about going on/participating in an art walk thingy where I babysat a gallery and went browsing in several others. That wasn't so odd (well... it was but just because of how normal everything was). What was odd was when one of the gallery owners started giving me gifts. It wasn't at the gallery I'd babysat; it was a gallery where I gave in to my curiosity and looked at a beautiful stone box I'd been admiring. They didn't give me that box (I wouldn't have accepted, anyway, as it was quite expensive), but they gave me something from another case. A framed triptych. Sorta. And then, when I went to the next gallery, they gave me this bar of soap covered in the most beautiful handmade paper. It was a jumble of flowers, raised into three dimensions.
The really weird part was when I thought that I really wanted to give that bar of soap to Sasha Obama. Malia had already been given something, and I thought it wasn't fair for Sasha to go away empty handed.
Oh, did I mention the Obamas were at the art walk? Yeah. Nice people. Very personable and polite.
There was also a bit about a case full of kittens that I thought were ceramic until they all started moving, at which point I was very glad I hadn't requested to look at one up close.
*shakes head to clear it*
Anyway. My throat is definitely more sore today, and I just want to sleep. Babe is better, though he's still coughing. And Geoff might actually leave Buffalo today, which would get him in late tonight rather than tomorrow, which means we might get snuggles tonight.
But, yeah. Sleep is calling me now.
