Early, early in the morning for the past two night/days (daights? niays? norn's?), Babe has come asking to join me in bed. I have, of course, obliged, and then get a really crappy morning of sleep. The first night, I actually had to send him back to his room because he was tossing and turning and had landed his head painfully on my bladder a couple of times. I walked him back, got him into pjs (he's in winter-denial mode) and made sure he was tucked in.

Last night... this morning, he came in and didn't violently toss and turn. He just snored. And snorted. And crept over. Because he was actually asleep, I set my pillow beside him and crawled off to his bed. I think I may have got a bit of sleep, but...

*grawgs*

On the good side, I went to bed and sleep early last night. I was asleep by about 10, so I got a good seven hours of sleep before he came in. (Bad side is I think I needed ten hours... I'm still fighting off something.)

But. Babe is in a good mood, and his cough is finally decreasing (though it would probably be gone if he would ever Blow His Freaking Nose!) (...and stay away from wheat), so that's good. We have a playdate with his school friend this afternoon, which is also good.

And I may perk up a bit after I have my morning cocoa. I would really like tea this morning, but don't really want to deal with the itches that go along with it, so minimal caffeine it is.

Is there ever such a thing as 'enough sleep'?

Twelve hours uninterrupted sleep until caught up (about three months) and then eight to nine hours a night from then on.
