Well.

The kitchen is more or less cleaned, even after making dinner. Forgotten kisses are in the oven (to be taken out in the morning), and custard was salvaged thanks to Mum's advice. Not that that custard is going to be used for Friend's trifle; I'll be making more in the morning. Geoff will make the sugar cookie dough after he's put Babe to bed, and all I have left to do is...

tidy up
practice Handel some more

design New Year's cards

Hey, be nice to yourself! (looks at your list to suggest prioritization) hmm.... I would skip or postpone making ornaments and designing New Year's cards, and I would skip wrapping presents and just put them in store-bought gift bags or paper bags. Get Geoff to help mop and clean bathrooms, or just tidy up. The time-critical items are making Geoff's and Babe's presents in time for Christmas, Handel because it's due on Christmas, and laundry so you don't go naked. Remember, you're also cooking a whole bunch; nobody expects you to be super-woman!
