The life part of last post
May. 26th, 2006 06:17 pmHmm.
I guess lif'e going okay. I got the proposal in to Chiropractor, and mentioned that I'm exeedingly easy as far as design goes. He seemed really excited when I mentioned that if there's a picture he wants, I'd be happy to copy it. Hopefully I'll come away from this with both a commission and a profit. I chickened out, though, as far as quoting a price. I know how much I want to quote, but I really don't want to scare him off. I do have a minimum, but I really don't want to short-change myself. Eh, well. We'll see if he gets approval from "the boss" (his wife) in the first place.
I did manage to paint some more last night, and I think it was good. Still rough, but getting there.
And I tried writing some more on the next chapter of SMHC, but it is still being a very, very resistent bugger of a chapter. I think I'm going to just skip ahead and write the rest of the story until this chapter feels like cooperating. That'll show it! Of course, if I don't get this chapter finished, then I won't be able to update the progress I make with the rest of it. Damn.
The most annoying thing about this block is that I know what happens. The plot of the chapter is all laid out and ready to go, but my muse is dallying around watching Lost, taking super long showers and generally avoiding her duties. Hmph. Ah well. At least I do have lots of good ideas for later on that I can jot down. Updates will go that much faster when my muse decides to turn off the water and get dressed
And then there's my to do list for the Summer:
Hope (finish)
Love
Innocence
Wisdom/Faith
Curiosity
other (maybe Peace?)
other
other (figure out what others are going to be)
Song fic that absolutely refuses to leave me alone. (And it isn't even SS/HG!)
whatever assignment is given
prime and paint doors
prime and paint chair
cut and install trim
paint trim
sand, oil and install countertop!
sand and oil ledges, bannister
figure out how to get rid of that friggin car
normal household stuff mow lawn (pawn mowing off on hubby)
cook dinner (maybe more than once)
finish installing baseboard in basement, paint
scrub basement floor (and maybe kitchen, while I'm at it)
keep garden weeded/watered/alive
bathe Babe (maybe more than once)
plan birthday and try to save up for something good
Anything else? I'm sure there is. Something always comes up.
