averygoodun42Babe is driving me crazy. Need a people break. Not going to get one. Two parties to go to today, and a third next door.
I'll enjoy the first party as it's with people I'm comfortable with. Second is with Geoff's coworkers. Not as comfy. Third I won't go to (but Geoff and Babe will, if I have any say in the matter) because I foresee my limited people skills having evaporated by that point.
I am so not an extrovert.
Did I mention that it's HOT? And that it's been HOT the entire time since I got back? And that I've had one good night's sleep since before leaving Canada? Last night was particularly frustrating because I was either too cold while the A/C was on to too warm the instant it turned off. The. Entire. Night.
*grumps*
Also, I think I'm coming down with something. Impending cold sore, tearfulness, hurty foot and grumpiness all point in that direction.
*grumps some more*
On the good side, there was a thunderstorm near sunset last night, and it did the most amazing things with the light. The sky went from that eerie stormy yellow to golden to cyan to fuchsia with orange and red and purple. (And spelling 'fuchsia' still confuses me after all these years of using it on a semi-regular basis. *grumps* Even after correcting it, I spell it wrong. *double grump*) It was beautiful, if humid.
But, gotta go now. Pool parties await. (Not that I will be going into the pools thanks to impending cold sore and possible other illness. *grumps*)
