Okay, titration achieved today at 25-30 grams. I'll go slowly after 20 tomorrow. (No more C today, though. YAY!)

This morning I asked Geoff if he would let me sleep in tomorrow. Too little sleep the last couple days (something that would also be included in that month of doing everything right: no late nights).

I'm making rice pilaf for dinner tonight. Brown rice, onions, garlic, celery, carrot, sunflower seeds, raisins, garam masala and salt. And a bay leaf. (Did I ever add the bay leaf? Shoot.) Haven't decided what's for protein, though. Chard for leafy green side, whatever protein I choose to make, though burgers sound yummier and yummier. Too bad we don't have any propane for the grill.

Trying to decide whether to read Margaret Atwood's The Year of the Flood or not. It's supposedly a side-story to Oryx and Crake, which I haven't read and haven't decided whether I want to read or not. I'm really not into dystopian worlds at the moment. Reality is a little too dystopian to my taste, and, unfortunately, I know from experience that fantasy about something like that can hurt me, even if it's not of my creation.

Don' know. I'll read another few chapters and see if I care about it one way or the other. If I don't, or it's too disturbing, I'll just return it to the library for my friend and tell her I'm not doing dark these days.

But now I guess I need to figure out what's for dinner, what needs to be done tomorrow morning cleaning-wise, and sketch out the OM. Or the OM's grid. That in itself would be an accomplishment.

Happy weekend!

FTR- I hate Margaret Atwood. I read a lot of her in college. Then I met her while I was at Cambridge. And she is someone whose work I will never support, again.

I read the Handmaid's Tale. Atwood is grim - I don't really need any grim in my life right now.

The pilaff sounds yummy.

Grim is definitely the word I'd use, and, well, I don't need it either. I've decided I'll return it and get more Dr. Who instead. :-)

Oh, and the pilaf was yummy, though it needed something else... Probably more spice including salt.
