~A fabric store that I love, and thought had died in the recession, turned out to have only moved instead. My mum and I went up this morning, and they still have a lovely selection, although the aisles are much narrower now. I also bought a few scraps of fabric including an inspiration piece.

Related: We're going to go over to Portsmouth tomorrow to check out a promising looking fabric store there.

I got the remaining necessary materials for my next project. Which I hope to be able to start tomorrow. Assuming I get the corners (and mounting mechanism) of the current project finished tonight. Which should be doable.

Homemade kimchi that looks and smells like real kimchi is bottled up on the counter. It is just about ready to taste test, and then into the fridge it goes. YUM!

My brussel sprout stalks are actually sprouting buds. If we don't get a hard frost, we might have garden fresh brussel sprouts for Christmas dinner!

My engagement ring is now on my finger - as opposed to being stored away - because I belatedly realized that if I am not working with paint anymore, I will not be as likely to ruin it. It is very pretty. It is also a visceral reminder that I (and we) are really quite wealthy, despite my sometimes overwhelming fears telling me otherwise.

I am pretty sure I have a room at the hotel for Aeternitas. With room mates. This is very, very good.

I got the bill from the hospital. This may not seem like a good thing, because ouch - four digit number! - but I want that medical payment on this year's tax return, so this is actually a very good thing. Big tax returns for the win.

I've found a difficult but sensible diet to try out. My symptoms seem to indicate "leaky gut," which is at least curable. If it works, I should be able to tolerate food again, or rather, it should take care of my growing list of sensitivities. Because, yeah. I can tolerate not being able to ever eat wheat again, I honestly can. I cannot tolerate having to avoid tomatoes and peppers and potatoes and everything else in existence for the rest of my life. Though it's possible that potatoes will be off the list for many a year, per diet restrictions...

My zygo cactus is blooming. ("It survived!" *cues thunder and lightning effects amid maniacal laughter*)

I'm getting a hair cut on Friday! I'm getting a haircut on Friday! Wheeee!

And finally, the dojo near us (less than a mile away) has what looks like a fabulous philosophy combined with lavish praise from one of Geoff's coworkers. I wish I could do it myself, but I think yoga is a much, much safer thing for me. (Ah, but I need to find a good yoga studio for myself soon...)

There are bad things (and merely annoying things), but on the whole, life is going well. Yay.

I am glad to see so many good things! I hope the diet works to fix you - food is one of life's simplest and greatest pleasures.
