Well, I've started the glasses shopping, and while I'm disappointed that I can't buy the proper glasses online at a HUGE discount because my face is too tiny, I am rather excited that Costco has at least three pairs I'm very interested in at somewhat reasonable prices. One is pretty girly and dainty and ornate without being... blingy, while the other two I fancied are fun - one in black and fuchsia metals, the other having purple plastic legs with white flowers. If the lenses weren't so incredibly expensive, I'd get the dainty and the black and fuchsia, but... We'll see what Geoff thinks.
Otherwise, life is the same. Looking forward to spring and redoing the front yard completely. That's the plus side of getting the sewer dug up - it's a blank slate now. (And I got lots and lots of plants to plant already - red and white astilbe, pink anemones, white bleeding hearts, ferns and ferns and ferns and ferns, a few blue hosta, ligularia, lots'o'lily of the valley, some carmel huechers and whatever hostas I can get off my friends (which will probably be lots). Costco is evil. Evil, I say!)
And then the Sins meme:
Day 1- Pride. Seven great things about yourself.
Day 2- Greed. Seven worldly material desires.
Day 3- Wrath. Seven things that piss you off.
Day 4- Sloth. Seven things you neglect to do.
Day 5- Envy. Seven qualities you lack and covet.
Day 6- Gluttony. Seven guilty pleasures.
Day 7- Lust. Seven love secrets
1. A castle. Or rather, a low VOC, straw-bale construction house in a mideval/French chateau style. With a turret. A turret is a must. So are solar panels. There will be built-ins galore in the living room, with properly lighted spots dedicated for art. There will be a wide spiral staircase (with a pulley hidden by (or in!) the wrought-iron chandelier for ease of moving large furniture up and down). There will be three bedrooms, so we can have guests over with more ease. And it will not be larger than 2000 square feet, and preferably not bigger than 1700 (but not smaller than 1500).
2. Fabric. Pretty, pretty fabric. I have lots already, but I wants more, precious! More! (Oh, and a place to put it all...) Laces, satins, gorgeous, gorgeous cottons... It doesn't matter what the content, if it's pretty, I want it.
3. A hybrid or fully electric car. Preferably used so I don't have the manufacturing of it on my conscience.
4. Travel money. There are so many places I want to go and while some of them I would like to go to by myself, most I want to take my family along.
5. Massage money. If I could have a massage every other day for a year, my muscles might be able to learn how to relax.
6. A beautiful garden. This includes at least one water feature (a pond for water lilies and irises, or a fountain for water noise, though preferably both), a rock wall, secretive paths and sitting areas and lots and lots of daffodils. And peonies. And evening primroses. *nods*
7.This car. A bachelor's degree of my very own.
