I hate being sickly. I'm not ill right now, thank goodness, but... I slept through the alarm, and so Page was getting dressed by the time I got up. I helped him with his zipper, went to the bathroom, decided I was not ready to get up yet (it took me at least a minute to figure out what day it was), and went back to bed hoping for another hour of sleep.

The consequence of that? Page got scared I was getting ill again and refused to go to school, getting into a big tussle with Geoff about it.

Not that he said he was scared until I came down and asked, mind. No, he just acted out, like kids do.

*sigh*

Kids shouldn't have to worry about their parents. Not in this way. They shouldn't have to face the concept of mortality for years and years and years. Parents should just be there, like rocks. Useful, caring rocks. With a cuddly coating.

So, that makes me sad. I am glad that Page wants to be my knight in shining armor, sticking by my side to make sure nothing bad happens, but I'd much rather he not even think about it.

Well, I guess I'll just have to impress upon him how healthy I am. How I went for a walk this morning (I did! go me). How I got stuff done. How sleep makes me feel better...

No more scaring the kiddies for me. Unless they're being brats, of course.

Day 1- Pride. Seven great things about yourself.
Day 2- Greed. Seven worldly material desires.
Day 3- Wrath. Seven things that piss you off.
Day 4- Sloth. Seven things you neglect to do.
Day 5- Envy. Seven qualities you lack and covet.
Day 6- Gluttony. Seven guilty pleasures.
Day 7- Lust. Seven love secrets

1. Fan fiction. Should I feel guilty? Probably not, but I know there are other things I could be doing with my time and energy.

2. By the same token, Georgette Heyer has become a guilty pleasure. There are so many good books out there I haven't read, but instead I choose fluffy romances... *shrugs* I read The Talisman Ring over the weekend, and boy did I enjoy that! I haven't laughed that hard over a book since book 12 of the Stephanie Plum series.

3. Cheeeeeeeeeeeesssecaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaake!

4. Tea. The proper kind with caffeine.

5. Day dreaming. Specifically, sketching out my dream houses and gardens.

6. Coconut oil. It's expensive, but oh my god is it good. (And I obviously really need it, considering I can eat it straight up.)

7. Naps.
