Geoff was wonderful today. He helped move twice as many stones for our garden as we did last week. When I asked him to make dinner while I went to do a preemptive soak after the rock hauling, he made us a lovely beef stew. He played with Page all day long (mostly playing chess and checkers) which, in turn, let me have the time and space to paint.

Page's day was not as good, as he had a couple of significantly aggravating owies, but even so, Geoff's magnificence managed to make the day end well for him, as he was carried up the stairs in a fit of giggles by my man.

Geoff leaves for Missouri tomorrow noon, and this was a wonderful reminder for both Page and me of how very dear Geoff is.
