I dreamt we were adopted by a kitten. It was a cute thing, half charcoal, half dirty white, all of it fluffy except it's soft pink nose. I decided we were keeping it, allergies be damned.

In the same dream, raw chicken carcasses were taking over my fridge. Perhaps that's why the kitty adopted us?

There were also adventures on the Scottish moors (which happened to look a lot like the front range in spring, only with crab, not buffalo, grass), and diving into the suburbs to hide. It was interesting to be lulled into complacency in the midst of the inane security we create.

I woke up to find that it wasn't even 5:30 and Page was already downstairs, despite having gone to bed later than usual. He's been getting really grumpy lately, and I think it's time to remind him that just because it's light out, doesn't mean it's time to get up. And also, while school's still in, get really, really strict about lights-out time again.

Bah.

And on the subject of grumpiness, why does teaching respect have to be so difficult? And slow?

Agreed. Especially when the little dears are respectful to other adults. *sigh*

Right now I'm trying so hard to get it through his little (big) head that he needs to be respectful to EVERYONE, including his peers.

It's a slow, slow journey. :-/
