The Tuesday or Wendesday before Aeternitas, I received a "Second Letter" from the financial aid office of the college I've applied to, saying they needed information from me to check against my FAFSA application. All fine, except for the fact that it was the first time I'd heard from them. So I was mildly upset about the "Second Letter" notice.
So, I went in early the next week and gave them all the information they requested. That was the first week of May. Second week of May, I went in and registered.
Then, on Friday (third week of May), I received another letter from the Financial Aid office...
This is the letter I received from the financial aid office this last Friday. The only alterations I have made have been to delete their name and my id number. Bolds and italics are theirs:
"FINAL LETTER
"Dear Elizabeth,
As indicated in previous letter, your financial aid application to _________ for 2011-2012 Aid Year is on hold as we need you to provide the following signed and completed documents and/or complete the following steps. The application is only the first step of the process. The requested information and/or steps prevent awarding and/or disbursement of all or some financial aid funds so please complete them quickly. Your application will be inactivated in 15 days unless we hear from you. Any communications from us from this point forward does not guarantee completion of your financial aid process.
PLEASE SUBMIT AND/OR COMPLETE THE FOLLOWING:
File needs to be reviewed by the Financial Aid Director
If you have any question or need assistance with any of the requirements, please do not hesitate to contact our office" etc.
I am so pissed. I am glad to know that they are reviewing my application, but giving me that information in an intimidation letter is NOT cool by me.
I have yet to figure out what to say to them come Monday morning, but I'm sure it will include something along the lines of MAKE ANOTHER FUCKING FORM LETTER, YOU FUCKING MORONS!!!
And if you are going to fuck with me, you had BETTER call me Ms. _____, not just my first name. Assholes.
Only polite, like.
